Beyond the Himalayas Book Study
with Venerable Pannavati
Open Dates
This study will be available by zoom only. We will not broadcast this live to Facebook or Youtube. Please register to attend. We will use the same link every week so once you register you are free to join us. The base of the practice, trainings and dialog we will partake in the next 50 weeks will be in reference to our application of the Kalamma Sutta AN 3.65 (Kesamuttisutta) in our daily life.
This Sutta is in the book of 3’s reflecting on the the three sets of harmful actions ie: greed, delusion and aversion but we know that this can apply to any mental state, actions of body speech and mind, our unwholesome roots, taint, seeds or any difficulty or obstacle that we may come across..
How are you taking the learnings of this sutta and applying it to your daily life?
Once we remove our conventional sources of knowledge what are the knowable truths, what do you know for yourself? What is right or wrong true or false? Is it for your welfare or your harm, their welfare or their harm? Blameworthy or blameless?
This year we will be looking at taking our practice off the cushion as we put practice into action
