Joyful Illumination of the Heart-mind
with Susmita Barua (Acharya Navasajiva)
January 24 - 26, 2020
Natural Awakening and Joyful Illumination of the Heart-mind
When we practice mindfulness, which mind are we talking about? We will explore the layout of the whole Noble Eightfold (or is it 10 fold) path to develop the first two steps of wholesome view and wholesome intention behind our study, attitude and practice of the Dhamma, its six attributes and investigation with the Beginner’s mind. We will explore how the Beginner’s mind is related to Yonisomanasikara (Wise Attention) and Basic Goodness. There will be meditation on unbounded states, journaling and reflective exercises to integrate Dhamma into one’s own personal life challenges, values, vision and purpose
